04th May, 2022: Launching of Project Monitoring Portal by Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble President of India
Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble President of India has launched the Project Monitoring Portal on 4th May, 2022 during the valedictory ceremony of North East Festival organized as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati in the gracious presence of Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Hon’ble Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways & AYUSH, Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Minister of Law and Justice, Shri G. Krishan Reddy, Minister of DoNER and Shri B.L. Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State DoNER. The Hon’ble Chief Ministers of NE states, Hon’ble Ministers of Assam State Cabinet, Hon’ble Members of Parliament of NE states, Chief Secretary of Assam and other senior dignitaries from various State and Central Departments have attended the event. The launch programme was attended by Dr S.P. Aggarwal, Director, NESAC along with Dr Dibyajyoti Chutia, Project Head, Shri PS Singh, Shri Victor Saikhom, Shri Avinash Chouhan and Shri Nilay Nishant of NESAC.
Project Monitoring Portal developed under the project “GeoTagging and Monitoring of NEC/MDoNER funded Projects/schemes in NE region using Geospatial Technology and Tools” is one of the unique applications developed by the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) with the support of North Eastern Council (NEC) and Ministry of DoNER (MDoNER) using IT-enabled Geospatial Technology with a lot of innovations towards enhancing the Governance process. Currently, total 588 projects spreading in more than 1664 locations are being mapped and monitored using the above platform. This also includes 37 major projects of MDoNER distributed in 90 sites across NE region. State Remote Sensing Applications Centres (SRSAC) of NER have been engaged in geotagging of the project sites on ground.

22nd January, 2021: Secretary MDoNER taken review of Project Monitoring portal.
The dashboard developed for GeoTagging and Monitoring of NEC funded Projects/schemes in NE region using Geospatial Technology and tools was demonstrated to Dr. Inder Jit Singh, Secretary, MDoNER, Govt. of India. Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, NEC and other senior officials of NEC/MDoNER were also present during the discussion.

22nd January, 2021: Demonstration of Project Monitoring portal to Dr K Sivan, Chairman ISRO.
The detailed demonstration on Project Monitoring portal was given to Dr K Sivan, Chairman, ISRO during his visit at NESAC on 22nd January, 2021. He appreciated the efforts of NESAC for coming up with such an important tool for monitoring the progresses of the developmental activities.

11th November, 2020: Demonstration of initial version of Project Monitoring portal to Secretary, NEC.
The initial version of Project Monitoring portal was demonstrated to Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, NEC on 11th November, 2020 at NEC Secretariat, Shillong. The demonstration was attended by the senior officials of NEC.

3rd November 2020: Project Monitoring portal demonstration to Director, MDoNER.
Presentation and live demonstration on the project "GeoTagging and Monitoring of NEC funded project/schemes in NE Region using Geospatial Technology and Tools" was given to Special Secretary and Director, MDoNER via VC. During the presentation, detail scope of work and progress made was presented and demonstrated.
July 22-23 2020: Workshop cum Training on NEC/MDoNER geotagging.
NEC project monitoring app version-1 has been demonstrated to all the users from, State Remote Sensing Centre. A detail technical visual walkthrough was conducted to familiarize the users with the app. Further, after detailed discussion, feedback has been collected regarding data collection through app and other modules of mobile app.
